When you think of Vin Diesel and movies, you probably think first of Family, Cars and Riddick – in that order. Face of the Fast and Furious series has recently mainly directed action blockbusters. The first years of his career were much more varied.
You may hardly believe it, but behind Dom Toretto there is a talented actor. Vin Diesel proved this in no other film as well as in Find Me Guilty (2006) by legendary director Sidney Lumet (12 Angry Men), which you can watch tonight at Moviepilot TV with Pluto TV you can watch.
The courtroom comedy with Vin Diesel tells the story of the longest mafia trial in US history
The members of the Lucchese mafia family face life sentences. For prosecutor Sean Kierney (Linus Roache) the case is clear: numerous pieces of evidence, surveillance documents, witnesses and a former family member as a key witness speak against the defendants. Victory seems certain.
But then one of the accused thwarts his plan: Giacomo “Jackie Dee” DiNorscio (Vin Diesel), who is already serving a 30-year prison sentence. He has rejected an offer from the prosecutor to rat out his relatives and acquaintances and has decided to to defend yourself.

That’s why Vin Diesel is so good at courtroom comedy
The cast includes Game of Thrones star Peter Dinklage and several character actors, but Vin Diesel is the star of the court showBased on real court records, he plays a cunning charmer who repeatedly wrests control of the trial from the tight-lipped lawyers.
Courtroom movies thrive on the sudden flash of inspiration that throws the orderly procedure into disarray (think of the finale of A Few Good Men). Vin Diesel’s Jackie DiNorscio personifies this chaos, which makes the whole thing extremely entertaining.
In recent years, Diesel has rarely been called upon to deliver varied dialogue, but in Find Me Guilty he proves how to breathe life into a script. Anyone who thinks Vin Diesel is just a dumb action star will change their mind after seeing Find Me Guilty.
