The Finn’s best result was a 425 in the opening round. On his next two jumps, Berg did not get a result, and he was left out of the last three rounds.
The competition for the top eight is still open.
The 21-year-old Berg’s competitive streak in Paris continues on Friday evening, when he competes in the preliminaries of the 400-meter run.
