It was just after half past three on Thursday night that the alarm about a fire in a two-story villa came.
– We are still on site and will be there for a couple more hours to guard, says Lars Rydstedt at 6 o’clock.
It was completely engulfed in flames when the emergency services arrived and the man who lived in the house and was alone at home jumped from the second floor. He was taken to hospital because his legs hurt afterwards, but the extent of his injuries is unclear.
The emergency services were able to contain the fire and therefore the adjacent garage was able to escape without damage. It is only the villa that burned down.
– There is only one brick left now, says Lars Rydstedt.
Police were also on the scene and are now investigating the cause of the fire.
