The Swedish national team player now breaks the silence and gives a very clear clue in a video on Instagram. He writes the following words together with the video, see it below.
“Nobody cared until I put on the mask”, writes Gyökeres in the post.

It’s a famous movie quote from the Batman movies and is said by the character Bane, who wears a mask and is said to have inspired the 26-year-old. The Portuguese newspaper A Bola now states that this is the reason for the goal gesture and Gyökeres himself has previously said that he will give answers about his “mask” after the end of the season.
