VIKINGS VALHALLA NETFLIX. A spin-off series of “Vikings” goes live on February 25, 2022 on Netflix. Here’s everything you need to know before discovering Vikings Valhalla in streaming.

[Mis à jour le 25 février 2022 à 9h00] Vikings: Valhalla is a spin-off of Vikings that fans and neophytes can discover on Netflix. Season 1 can be viewed in streaming from this Friday, February 25, 2022. But those who have not seen the parent series can be reassured: it is not essential to have seen Vikings to embark on Valhalla. The plot indeed takes place 100 years later and introduces new protagonists (Leif Eriksson, his sister Freydis Eriksdotter and Prince Harald Sigurdsson) and, of course, new bloody conflicts.

However, fans of the first series will appreciate the references and winks distilled throughout this first season. Moreover, the plot taking place more than 100 years after Vikings, there is little chance of meeting the characters of the first series. However, it is not impossible that Netflix subscribers will meet protagonists who have a more or less direct link with Ragnar Lothbrok, Lagertha, Bjorn Côtes-de-Fer or Ivar the boneless.

Synopsis 100 years after the events of “Vikings”, tensions between the Vikings and English royalty reach a point of no return. Within the Vikings themselves, points of contention emerged between pagan and Christian beliefs. Three Vikings reveal themselves in hopes of bringing survival and glory to their people: explorer Leif Eriksson, his sister Freydis Eriksdotter, and Prince of the North Harald Sigurdsson.

Currently, Vikings: Valhalla has one season. This is posted on Netflix on February 25, 2022 at 9:01 am. In total, eight episodes will make up this season 1 and will retrace the beginning of the epic of Harald Sigurdsson, Leif Eriksson and Freydis Eriksdotter. For now, the detail and synopsis of these episodes is not known.

Vikings: Valhalla is set 100 years after the events of the original series, Vikings. Logically, therefore, we should not find the characters of the old series. It is therefore difficult to imagine the return of Ragnar Lothbrok, especially since the character died in a pit filled with snakes. However, it is quite possible that we discover characters who are linked to Ragnar in this spin -off, failing to find the hero of the original series.

Vikings: Valhalla is a series broadcast exclusively in streaming. It is put online on the Netflix platform on February 25, 2022. You must therefore have a subscription to be able to discover the spin-off (but also the sequel) of Vikings in legal streaming. Being an original production of Netflix, the series should not one day be broadcast on television or be accessible on other platforms.
