The answer is yes !

An upcoming season 3 for Vikings Valhalla?

After the first season of Vikings Valhalla aired in early 2022, netflix renewed its series not only for a season 2 but also for a season 3. It must be said that the second season was already filmed shortly after the broadcast of the first, so Netflix already believed very strongly in the potential of this spin-off. Filming for Season 3 of Vikings Valhalla took place in the spring of 2022, which tends to lead us to believe that the sequel to the series could arrive relatively quickly on Netflix. It now remains to be seen whether the giant of streaming and production will continue the series beyond the first three seasons or not.

Last March, Season 2 of Vikings Valhalla was already filmed and in the post-production phase. Jeb Stuart, showrunner of the series, had also spoken about this sequel to Collider. Stuart said in it that he sees this season 2 as having “a different vibe. The same characters move through the story and progress in a straight line down that path but they will be able to move and change. I see it as a continuous story but, in same time, each season has its own identity.” Also note that a season 3 of the Vikings spin-off has been ordered by Netflix. In total, subscribers will soon be able to discover 24 new episodes (8 per season).

Seasons 4, 5 and 6 of Vikings Valhalla could see the light of day

In an interview with the American media Collider, Jeb Stuart spoke about his way of creating Vikings Valhalla: by imagining seasons 1, 2 and 3 as a unified “block” to which other blocks could be attached later. “We really talked about seasons 1, 2 and 3 like kind of a block and then hopefully we could get seasons 4, 5, and 6 because the story is… I think you’ll understand when you see seasons 2 and 3. That’s almost like a novel.” It remains to be seen whether Netflix will continue Vikings Valhalla by renewing the series beyond season 3!
