While everyone is waiting for Dune 2 after the great success of Denis Villeneuve’s sci-fi remake Dune last year, a series is being shot at the same time to tell the story behind the cinema blockbuster – Dune: The Sisterhood. The cast there has been growing steadily for a few weeks and that’s where the Vikings main actor became Travis Fimmel clamped. The Dune: The Sisterhood series is set to take place 10,000 years before Paul Atreides’ story in Dune. The role description of the new Dune character should be familiar to fans who have followed Travis Fimmel’s series career: Vikings already showed the rise of the charismatic Viking Ragnar from the simple pawn and fighter to leaderwhere the religion aspect with the friction between Christians and “pagans” always being a central theme.
Travis Fimmels recently unexpectedly deposed Sci-Fi Series Raised by Wolves is even closer to Dune: The Sisterhood. There he embodied a sometimes almost on a foreign planet soldier fanatically clinging to his faith, who opposed a group of other settlers.
