OLD PLOWS. The Breton festival of Vieilles Charrues is back in Carhaix for its thirtieth anniversary, from Thursday 14 to Sunday 17 July 2022! Here is all the practical information of the event.

For this anniversary, the organizers of the event, which began this Thursday 14 and will last until Sunday 17 July 2022have bet everything on an explosive program, which includes a number of essential artists from festivals of the summer, namely: Orelsan, Angèle, Vianney, Clara Luciani, Juliette Armanet, Feu! Chatterton, but also DJ Snake, Meute, Bob Sinclar, Rilès or Vladimir Cauchemar.
Four days of celebration and music, for one of the biggest and most popular festivals in France. Proof of the enthusiasm of fans of musical events: the Vieilles Charrues 2022 are sold out! A fitting way to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Carhaix festival.

As everywhere in France, the 30th anniversary of the Vieilles Charrues festival will not escape the heat wave. During the four days of celebration, don’t forget to protect yourself from the sun and to hydrate yourself (with water)! Here are the forecasts Meteo France for the Old Plows 2022:
- Thursday July 14 : the first day of Les Vieilles Charrues will be sunny, with maximum temperatures of 25 degrees and gusts of wind up to 40 km/h in the afternoon.
- Friday July 15 : the sun will also be there with temperatures up to 28 degrees.
- Saturday July 16 : the thermometer will display up to 30 degrees and the day will be totally sunny!
- Sunday July 17 : the hottest day of the festival with up to 32 degrees and still a great sun.
The 2022 edition of Les Vieilles Charrues, which will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the festival, takes place from Thursday 14 to Sunday 17 July 2022, i.e. four days of celebration and music.
For this 30th edition of the Vieilles Charrues, the festival ticket office was stormed by festival-goers. The event is sold out. However, for latecomers, it is possible to buy or resell tickets for the festival in complete safety: direction https://vieillescharrues.zepass.com the only official ticket market of the Vieilles Charrues.
Please note that tickets purchased for the Vieilles Charrues 2020 festival are not valid for this new edition.
To prepare for your visit to the Vieilles Charrues site, here are the times for the 2022 festival:
- Park & Garden opening: 11:30 a.m.
- Opening of the concert site: 2 p.m.
Like every year, the Vieilles Charrues festival takes place in Carhaix, in Finistère. The address is as follows: at the outbuildings of Persivien, 29270 Carhaix-Plouguer. To get there, there are several ways:
By car :
- You are coming from Paris, Rennes, Nantes, Saint-Brieuc, Saint-Malo…: go to the purple car parks;
- You come from Brest, Lorient, Quimper, Vannes, Pontivy… – and/or you sleep at Woodcamp and/or you belong to the Klub: go to the orange car parks;
The car parks open on July 14 from 10:30 a.m. and close on Monday July 18 at noon. There are free shuttles from the mauve D car park and the Poher roundabout.
By train :
- TGV Paris-Brest: descent at Guingamp. Correspondence Guingamp-Carhaix.
- TER Nantes-Quimper: descent to Rosporden. Connection by coach Rosporden-Carhaix.
By bus :
There are several bus lines to get to the Vieilles Charrues festival site: BreizhGo 29, 56 and 22.
