Video: This is what the World Cup of garbage collection looks like – the winners collected more than 50 kilograms of waste

In Japan, a special competition was organized to see who collects the most trash from the streets of Tokyo.

Britain rose this week first place in the world championships of garbage collection.

An event was organized in Japan on Wednesday, in which a total of 21 teams from around the world participated.

Teams of three had 90 minutes to collect as much trash as possible from the streets of Tokyo.

Different kinds of garbage got different amount of points.

The race also included the sorting of garbage, for which 20 minutes had been reserved. Running was forbidden in the race.

The British team won by collecting 57 kilograms of trash in 90 minutes.

It is an event of an organization called SpoGomi. The goal of the organization is to raise awareness of environmental issues.

SpoGomi is a Japanese word combination that means sports and trash.

The next World Cup of garbage collection will be held in 2025.
