A video of an intriguing gaming keyboard has surfaced on Twitter. It should offer skins that look really alive. The whole thing is supposed to work with Steam. Now even the manufacturer has reported and is self-confident.
Anyone who wants to play and work on the computer inevitably needs a keyboard. But one manufacturer seems to be discovering the keyboard as a new art form.
Because a leak has introduced a unique keyboard. At first glance, this seems quite strange and like a fake, but in the meantime the manufacturer “Finalmouse” has indirectly confirmed the product itself.

Gaming keyboard should use a display with skins
What keyboard is that? A short, 20-second video was reportedly leaked. On Twitter, JakeLucky explains:
“A never-before-seen keyboard has been officially leaked. The supposed Alpha prototype of Finalmouse is equipped with groundbreaking technology. A keyboard with fully interactive skins based on Unreal Engine 5.”

What exactly do you see? The video shows a keyboard without keycaps. It is a so-called TKL model, i.e. a gaming keyboard without a number pad.
The plate covering the circuit board is animated: here in the video you can see fish swimming across the keyboard. It looks like a display unit has been built into the keyboard. On Twitter, some users are already scoffing at what you can do with it. Others state that this is definitely not a keyboard to throw at the wall in anger.
What technology should be in it? Inside there should be a separate graphics unit and a processor that operate the keyboard. The keyboard should be connected to the computer via USB-C. It is said that more skins can be installed via Steam.
There should also be interactive skins that should react to you. How exactly this is supposed to work is not yet known.
What will the keyboard cost? A price is not yet known. Many users already fear that such a unique keyboard would be unaffordable for many gamers. The community is speculating between 300 and 1000 euros.

How does the manufacturer react? Finalmouse, the manufacturer behind the keyboard, actually retweeted the leak and is combative. They also explain that there is more to see on December 17th:
