The exhibition at the French Natural History Museum reminds us of the diversity of nature. Illuminated sculptures illuminated by LEDs can be seen until mid-January.
Huge LED-illuminated insect, spider and plant sculptures have populated the Jardin des Plantes park, i.e. the botanical garden of Paris. Organized by the French Natural History Museum, the purpose of the exhibition is to present the diversity of nature.
– Life on the entire planet is based on diversity at the microscopic level, which we often ignore, museum director Bruno David said the Reuters news agency.
The museum’s researchers have been involved in designing the sculptures, which have been produced by the Chinese company China Light Festival. They can be seen until January 15.
To save energy, the LED lights are turned off one hour earlier than in previous years’ light festivals, at 9:30 p.m.
