Victoria Grace on the hate after Saturday’s final

Victoria Grace Larsson was one of those who hung loose in the sixth Saturday final of “Idol”. After the voting, she and participant Lukas Söderholm learned that one of them had advanced in the competition, while the other would be forced to leave. It was Victoria Grace Larsson who went on, something she received hate on her social media for.

– It has been very busy. What people don’t understand is that it wasn’t me against Lukas, it’s everyone against everyone. The only thing that happened was that we were at the bottom, she says and continues:

– It was already hard, I cried afterwards because I saw how much it hurt Lukas. Not only that, I’m also going to get hate.

Wanted to quit “Idol”

In a post on her Instagram story, Victoria Grace Larsson writes that the hate comments made her want to leave the show.

– It was very unfortunate. I was really sick and I was alone in a room and read every single hateful comment, which is exactly what you shouldn’t do, she says.

It went so far that she talked to the production that she was thinking about dropping out, but on Sunday night she decided to continue her “Idol” journey.

– I thought about my faith, and about why I do this. I do it for myself and for everyone who supports me, so why should I give away my chance just because people don’t know how to behave?, she says.

Lukas Söderholm: Far from okay

She receives support from the other idols remaining on the show.

– She doesn’t deserve any hate, just because she stood next to it, it wasn’t like she took the place from Lukas. The people have voted for the one they want. The best thing they can do is to support Lukas to become the best artist he can be outside of “Idol” instead of picking on the one who was allowed to stay, says participant Robin Sohlberg.

Lukas Söderholm himself has gone out on social media and urged viewers to “send love” to Victoria Grace Larsson.

– I get a little uncomfortable when I find out that she has received hate, it is far from okay. The fact that she moved on has nothing to do with me not moving on, he says and continues:

– She deserves to move on. It’s nice that people want to support me, but I don’t think you should lower someone else to raise me up.
