Victor Olofsson scored two goals in his NHL debut for his new club Vegas Golden Knights.
But he’s not the only one enjoying life in Nevada – his daughter Vera seems to love it too.
This can be seen not least in a new Instagram picture where she greets her father at work.
29 year old Victor Olofsson from Örnsköldsvik has had a great start to his time in Las Vegas. After the move from the Buffalo Sabers to the Vegas Golden Knights, he has managed to play three NHL games. In the first game (the 8-4 victory against the Colorado Avalanche), he accounted for two of the home team’s goals.
Moved from Buffalo
He played several SHL games for both Modo and Frölunda before switching Sweden to the USA. The last season in Gothenburg was a success, when Olofsson scored 43 points in 50 games. It got tougher when he joined the Buffalo Sabres’ organization. There he only got a couple of chances before being sent down to the AHL.
Then when he showed he could perform at that level, he got another chance in Buffalo – and he took it. Over the next five years, he scored 178 points in 308 games. But then a new ignition was needed. He has now received it in Las Vegas, where both Victor and his family seem to be having a good time.

– It was nice to get such a start and score a goal straight away in the first game. It makes it easier, especially when you enter a new team like this, he told Sportbladet after the premiership victory.
– Overall, I’m very happy to be here. I needed a fresh start in my career and feel that I ended up in a team where I get a good role, he continued.
“Meet dad at work”
In the team’s last game (3-1 against the Anaheim Ducks), Victor Olofsson had the best possible company inside the T-Mobile Arena. His partner Taylor Mattfolk23, and their daughter Vera1, was down by the rink before the match and also took the opportunity to greet Victor before going down.
“Today we got to meet dad at work,” writes Taylor Mattfolk in an Instagram story.
The image of little, sweet Vera accompanying her father Victor during a day’s work can really soften any stubbornness. When she puts her hand against the plexiglass to “touch” her father’s face, many hockey lovers melt.
