Victor Hedman continues to dominate.
Now one of his passes from the latest conference final is spread – and it is pure and simple pleasure.
This can be checked as many times as you like.
Tampa Bay Lightning was bad in the conference final against the New York Rangers. The winner of the series will face the Colorado Avalanche in the Stanley Cup final, and after two away games, it looked really dark for Lightning.
Success season
Rangers had a 2-0 lead in the series, but when it turned into two straight games in Tampa, the reigning champions stepped forward, and the position in the series is now 2-2, and completely open before the final games. And as usual, it is a Victor Hedman in great shape that we get to follow.
Hedman has been one of the world’s absolute best backs in recent years, and he is nominated for the Norris Trophy this season as well. In the playoffs he may not have scored as many points as many had expected, but defensively he is still one of the NHL’s best players, and in the series against Rangers he has averaged almost 24 (!) Minutes in ice time.
Incredible fit
There have also been 13 points in 15 matches, but the fact is that that number should actually be higher. Hedman has been responsible for several super passes during this year’s playoffs that did not result in a goal, and in the latest conference final came a clear example of that. He then hit perhaps the best pass of the year to Nikita Kucherov, who, however, could not manage.
However, the pass has spread considerably in North America, and it sums up everything that makes Victor Hedman so good. The incredible game intelligence – and the ability to perform it. This is pure pleasure – and it is really possible to check as many times as you like.
