Victor Hedman behind the decisive goal tonight – is now just a win from the Stanley Cup final after a new supermatch

Last minute The world stood up after Putins decision in

Tampa Bay Lightning is on its way to its third straight Stanley Cup final.
They won the thriller against Rangers last night – and as usual, Victor Hedman had a hand in the decision.

The Tampa Bay Lightning were unlucky in the opening round of the conference final against the New York Rangers. They started with two straight games away from home, and there were then two straight losses and a touch of the stamp of crisis.

A match from the final

But Lightning has played in two straight Stanley Cup finals – and won both – so that there is a winning mentality in the squad, there is no doubt at all. And that has been shown, to say the least, in matches three, four and five of the series against Rangers, which has been a super drama.

Before the night’s fifth match – which was played in New York – the score was 2-2, and of course the fifth match between the teams was also a thriller. The score is now 1-1. Then Victor Hedman passed the puck to his back colleague, who threw the puck towards the goal for a control, and it went the way.

Was behind the decision

Hedman was thus noted for an assist on goal that became completely decisive in the match, as Rangers could not answer. Tampa won the match 3-1 and now has a match ball in the series, and can thus be ready for its third straight Stanley Cup final tomorrow night. And it was not immediately surprising that Hedman would have a hand in the decision.

He was noted for a completely insane 25 minutes of ice time last night, and was also in on two of the three goals that Tampa scored. Hedman has now scored 14 points in 16 games played, and was as usual completely flawless defensively. In the final awaits – for Tampa or Rangers – Colorado Avalanche, who won in four straight games against the Edmonton Oilers.
