MUSIC VICTORIES. The 38th Victoires de la Musique ceremony, presented by Laury Thilleman, takes place in February. Here’s everything you need to know before the party.

For its 2023 edition, the great mass of French-speaking music, chaired by the singer Calogero and presented again by Laury Thilleman, will be held on February 10, 2023 at the Seine Musical de Boulogne-Billancourt and will be broadcast, as every year, live. on France 2 and France Inter. Note that the singer Serge Lama will receive a Victory of Honor for his entire career, a “last very pleasant hello to the profession”, in his words. in the JDD this Sunday.
On January 9, the organizers of the event lifted the veil on the list of artists competing for the Victoires de la musique 2023. This aims to represent all audiences and all musical genres. Among the artists named in the eight categories represented, Stromae, Angèle, Bigflo and Oli, but also Orelsan, Juliette Armenet, the trio Grand Corps Malade / Ben Mazué and Gaël Faye and the revelations Emma Peters, November Ultra, Mentissa, Pierre de Maere or Jack.

What categories for the Victoires de la Musique 2023?
In 2023, like last year, artists will be nominated in eight different categories: Male Artist, Female Artist, Male Revelation, Female Revelation, Album, Original Song, Concert and Audiovisual Creation. The novelty of last year has therefore been retained: the Concert category, which has returned to the list, but included the last two years, due to cancellations linked to the Covid-19 pandemic. A health situation which had also upset the Revelations of the Year category from 2021, which had become non-mixed (previously Revelation stage and Album revelation), but separated into “male” and “female”.
Who votes for the Victoires de la Musique 2023?
For the Victoires de la Musique 2023, the public once again has the opportunity to vote in the category of Original Song of the Year. Voting will be open until the day before the ceremony. It will be possible to vote on the France Télévisions site, once a day, with an email address. For the other categories, the votes are entrusted to a college of voters, made up of 900 people, professionals in the music industry and members “outside the music industry”, recruited on a cover letter.
