Season 6 starts together with Vessel of Hatred

At the same time as Vessel of Hatred, all players who own Diablo 4 will have access to Season 6. Shortly before the release, Blizzard revealed a lot of new information about Season 6 in a three-hour stream.

The most important change is probably that the entire level and paragon system is being overhauled. You only level up to level 60, but then you go into Paragon, which applies to every character in the realm from Season 6 onwards. This also means: You have 10 more levels for skill points and each class gets new skills and passives.

The “Season of Rising Hatred” brings a new activity called Realm Shifters, which you can fight in the open world and then enter a small dungeon with special loot. Other changes in Season 6 include:

  • The difficulty system is being revised with levels from Normal to Torment 4.
  • Glyphs can be leveled in the pit from Season 6 onwards and there are new and revised glyphs.
  • The new maximum item level is 800 and ancestral items are always at this level.
  • The group finder comes into play.
  • You can now mark a city as a favorite to use it as a default point for your city portal role.
  • Unlike Vessel of Hatred, Season 6 comes as a free update for all players and you don’t have to pay extra for the content. For a better overview, we have listed in detail which content is in which of the two updates: Season 6 and Vessel of Hatred appear at the same time – What can I play for free, what costs money?
