Mia Björklund, 53, managed to get out of the kitchen chaos at E22.

Now she is waiting to be able to drive home to Malmö when the road opens.

– I drink coffee to stay awake, she says.

Mia, 53, in the traffic chaos: “I’m going to get sick”

Many road users got stuck in the snow chaos in Skåne on Friday. Several trucks are stuck on the roads, and at 9:30 p.m. they have just started to recover the first truck on the E22.

Mia Björklund was driving from her daughter in Kristianstad home to Malmö when she got stuck in front of Linderöd. For several hours she sat in the car, without water and with an empty gas tank and mobile battery.

– Then I was very scared.

Now she and the other motorists have been helped to reverse back towards Kristianstad, and Mia has stopped at a petrol station. There she now intends to wait until E22 opens again.

– There is a complete standstill on the road, but they say they will open at midnight. I have to go back home.

“Losing confidence”

She has charged her mobile phone, drank coffee and managed to warm up a bit. She alternates between sitting in the car, being inside the store and moving outside.

– It feels a little less bad now, but very difficult. The story is not over yet. I wonder what those responsible for our roads are doing? It’s the first snow this winter, and they let people lose faith in them.

– But I am grateful to the police, they have been very good.
