The Dutchman Max Verstappen is superior in this year’s Formula 1 season. He is a full 80 points ahead of Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc. During qualifying he was, just like during most of the season, fastest again.
Second, who thus gets to start in pole position, was Ferrari’s Spaniard Carlos Sainz.
But the Red Bull car gets to start in the back ranks as Verstappen, join now, along with Leclerc, McLaren’s Lando Norris, Alpine’s Esteban Ocon, Haas’ Mick Schumacher and Alfa Romeo’s Valtteri Bottas changed engines.
Qualifying was ultimately a huge disappointment for the Mercedes cars. Lewis Hamilton was only seventh with George Russell behind him. Due to all the engine changes, they start fifth and sixth respectively tomorrow.
