The starting position of Verschoor of the Trident Racing team in Baku was sixth. The race had many incidents resulting in safety cars. In the end, the race was flagged on time. Due to penalties for other drivers, Verschoor climbed to fifth place. Norwegian Dennis Hauger took the win, followed by number two Logan Sargeant from America and Felipe Drugovich from Brazil.
