British actor Tom Hardy is a perfect bad boy. We’ve known that since The Dark Knight Rises or his series Taboo. For filmmaker Cary Joji Fukunaga (True Detective, James Bond 007: No Time to Die) and his new project, he is now set to become a gangster boss, which shouldn’t be difficult for the experienced screen and big-screen criminal.
Tom Hardy becomes a screen gangster again after Venom
The Norwegian thriller novel Blood on Snow: The Assignment * by author Jo Nesbø is to be adapted. According to Deadline, however, Hardy will only play a supporting role, while his colleague Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Kraven the Hunter) will play the central killer in the conflict.
The action takes place in Oslo in the 1970s: contract killer Olav (Johnson), who lives, works and kills according to a strict moral code. However, when his client, the gangster boss Hoffman, orders him to murder his own wife, Olav’s loyalty is put to the test. Because apart from the general dubiousness of the assignment, he has feelings for his boss’s wife. When he ultimately leaves the assignment unfulfilled, he himself becomes a target and ends up in the middle of a gang war.
Tom Hardy plays the so-called Fisherman, the leader of the rival gang. He will appear in front of the camera with his co-stars later this year.
Upcoming movies in which you can see action star Tom Hardy in advance
Those who can’t wait that long will only have to wait until October 24th of this year for Venom: The Last Dance starring Hardy to hit theaters. In addition, action fans have been waiting forever for the Netflix release of Gareth Evans’ Havoc, which is supposedly happening soon.
Mr. Hardy also has a lot else coming up: a military film called War Party and another Mad Max film by George Miller, for example.
