(Tiper Stock Exchange) – “Lights! Camera! Impact! From moving pictures to moving ideas and action” And an exploration it’s a celebration of cinema that puts creativity at the service of social issues. Organized by The Human Safety Net (movement founded in 2017 by the Generali Group) this meeting of directors and pioneers of impact storytelling will be held on the occasion of the 80. Venice International Film Festival, Friday 1st September, from 5.00pm.

They will be presented exclusive previews of films that address i themes of justice and social inclusion, tblood systems that are at the heart of The Human Safety Net’s mission.

The Italian preview of the short film Portrait of a Stranger”, fruit of the collaboration between UNHCR (United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees) and the award-winning directors Platon and Anadil Hossain, will be followed by the opening speech by Gabriele Galateri di Genola, President of The Human Safety Net.

“Stories create connections between communities and cultures, challenging the way we look at the world and at each other. Now more than ever, we need ours collective imagination to make this connection more effective,” he points out Anadil Hossain, curator of the initiative and director.

A discussion with creatives and film industry operators will follow about how films can drive change and have a real impact. Speakers include DanielleTurkov-Wilson (CEO of Think-Film), the actresses Elsa Zylberstein (also present at the Festival in the cast of “Coup de Chance”) e Yalitza Aparicius (Oscar nominee for her role in Alfonso Cuarón’s Golden Lion and Academy Award-winning film “Roma”) and Stephen Savonaaward-winning documentary filmmaker.

The Human Safety Net – closes the note – is a movement of people helping people with the aim of supporting the most vulnerable, families with young children and refugees, so that they can express their potential and improve living conditions and those of their families and communities. Room! impact” The Human Safety Net brings together dynamic voices from the world of entertainment, philanthropy and the defense of human rights, in collaboration with Think-Film Impact Production, a media company that this year will launch the first edition of the Collateral Impact Award at the Mostra del Cinema, and with Vital Voices Global Partnership, a global organization that invests, connects and amplifies the voices of women leaders who address the great challenges of our time.
