Venezuela suspends all air traffic to Peru starting today. The flight ban applies to both planes departing and arriving from Peru, and it lasts until the end of August.
The Chilean Latam Airlines reported on Wednesday.
Venezuela announced earlier today that it was cutting diplomatic relations with Peru.
Relations between the two countries began to tighten after Peru’s foreign minister Javier González-Olaechea said the result of the Venezuelan presidential election was fraudulent.
