In Serie A, Italy’s top football league Joel Pohjanpalon Venezia suffered a stinging 0-1 loss to Inter late on Sunday evening.

Reigning Serie A champions Inter took the lead when Lautaro Martinez headed the ball into the net in the 65th minute of the match.

In extra time, Venezia equalized as a defender Marin Sverko by pushing with a hit. Referee Maria Sole Caputi Ferrieri however, disallowed the goal after a VAR review. The referee looked at Sverko’s hand hitting the ball.

Pohjanpalo played the full minutes in the match and shot three times. This season, the Finnish striker has succeeded in scoring a total of four times.

Venezia’s Finnish goalkeeper Jesse Joronen watched the game from the bench.

Inter is right on the heels of first-place Napoli in the standings. Venezia, on the other hand, is third last.
