Vätterhem in Jönköping goes against the grain: Always offers viewing before renting

In the clip: that’s why Vätterhem in Jönköping always shows its apartments before letting.

Figures from the magazine Hem&hyra show that apartment viewings for rental properties in the country decreased during the pandemic and have subsequently remained at a lower level than before the pandemic. This means that tenants are to a greater extent allowed to sign their leases without having seen the apartment in place.

But the large housing company in Jönköping, Vätterhem, does not follow that trend. They showed fewer rental apartments during the pandemic but have returned to showing all pre-rental apartments after the pandemic.

Housing companies in the county always have viewings

– We had a year during the pandemic when we couldn’t show the apartments, but since then we show 100 percent of the apartments, says Raymond Paska, CEO of Vätterhem.

Finnvedsbostäder in Värnamo and Linden in Nässjö also show all apartments before renting.

– We have returned to how it was before the pandemic. The only exceptions to viewings are for new production and for extensive renovations, says Camilla Lund, Marketing Manager Finnvedsbostäder.
