A preliminary study on small modular reactors at Ringhals was started last spring. Field studies and ground investigations have been carried out. During the summer, Vattenfall also began a procurement process to select a supplier and reactor type.
Vattenfall already owns land, but now needs more. Owners of six properties in the area have been contacted.
