And so a place has to be created for that. “It is quite a bit of work, yes,” laughs Gert, one of the builders. But he knows how to put it into perspective. “We’re not doing this for the first time, it’s a routine job.” Gert has been building the grandstands for years, together with a handful of colleagues. He can also be found regularly at De Westmaat: the stands are also set up in this way for the derby against the IJsselmeervogels.
