In order not to let the customers down, the bicycle repair shop was looking for a way to repair the bicycle without needing the original parts. “There are a number of parts that break regularly, such as the buttons on the steering wheel and the battery,” he explains. The Hartogs team now works all day to replace those parts. Today, too, the bicycles hang in the ceiling hooks, waiting for the broken parts to be repaired. “Being able to rebuild the battery and some of the parts we use even outlast VanMoof parts,” he says with a smile.
