Released on Friday June 17, 2022, the album Fos (Force, in French) by Vanessa Désiré offers a bouquet of songs that are at once ornamented, moving and dynamic.
For her first personal studio album, Haitian artist Vanessa Désiré pulled out all the stops to win more and more hearts. The Fòs disc, which features 13 tracks, ingeniously mixes bliss and melancholy and offers a variety of sounds suitable for all kinds of occasions. It’s an album that sings of our passions, our broken hearts and our disappointments. It’s an album that sings of our joys and sorrows.
This new opus also allowed Vanessa Désiré to confirm her versatility. Fos plunges us, indeed, into an electrifying journey through several musical genres. The young woman is illustrated as well in the rap and the direct compass as in the reggae.
Originally from Petit-Goâve (a town located about 70 kilometers from Port-au-Prince), Vanessa Désiré started singing from kindergarten. She has participated in many competitions in her hometown or at the national level in which she has always distinguished herself.
In 2018, she released a duet album with Haitian rapper Toby Anbakè, some of whose music still retains its freshness today. Since then, she has multiplied collaborations and performs in several major Haitian music festivals, in Haiti or abroad.
With the opus Fosthe young woman already knows what she should aim for: to conquer the international market.
