In the summer of 2023, Gilles van Hesteren stepped down as coach of the men of Bilthoven’s SCHC. “I want to free up more time to orient myself more broadly than just hockey and to develop myself further as a person and as a professional,” he said at the time. A year later, he returns to Stichtsche, now as coach of the women. “Hockey is my passion.”
