In west 2, Dogan Corneille, ex-player and very short-lived trainer of IJsselmeervogels has a chance to win the award. Also in south 1 a former player of IJsselmeervogels has been nominated: Houtenaar Dennis van der Steen, currently trainer of VV Sliedrecht.
