The 26-year-old Veenendaaler still had trouble with his opponent in the first set and won after a tiebreak. It was faster in the ‘second part’ of the race. For Van de Zandschulp, the number two on the placement list, the victory is very welcome. He would like to refuel with some extra confidence in view of next week’s US Open.
