The 18-year-old Brazilian convincingly won his service turns in the first set. Towards the end of the set, Van de Zandschulp had more trouble winning his service games. At 4-3 for the Brazilian, Van de Zandschulp had to save a few break points to win the game. Two games later, the Brazilian got another break chance and immediately a set point. He did use that due to a miss by the Dutchman.
