Veenendaal – Botic van de Zandschulp has qualified for the third round at the masters tournament in Miami. The Veenendaler settled Friday with the Australian Alexei Popyrin: 4-6 7-6 (4) 6-2. Van de Zandschulp now has to compete against the third placed Casper Ruud. The 24-year-old Norwegian, number 4 in the world, defeated Ilja Ivashka from Belarus in straight sets: 6-2 6-3.
