Veenendaal – Botic van de Zandschulp lost in the opening round of the Wimbledon doubles tournament. Together with his American partner Mackenzie McDonald, the Veenendaler lost after a 2-0 lead in sets in five sets against Slovakian Fllip Polasek and John Peers from Australia. It became 4-6, 4-6, 7-5, 6-3 and 6-2.
