Halfway through the race, the Dutch boat was even in the lead, but the British recovered in the second half. The Netherlands managed to keep the Americans behind them. Eight years ago, the Holland Eight won bronze in Rio de Janeiro, but in Tokyo – in 2021 – the team failed to secure a podium place.
