Bottas has never been in his comfort zone at an F1 start. Even after the start at Silverstone, the opening lap was difficult.

– The start and the first corners were ok, but then we were pushed wide in the fourth corner, so I fell behind, recalled Bottas, who started the race from the 16th grid.

He hopes that the turn for the better will take place next race weekend, at the Hungarian GP in two weeks. Inefficient Sauber needs technical tuning.

– We have some new parts and updates coming soon, I hope.

Haas, who has been modestly successful in the Formula 1 World Series in recent years, set an encouraging example for smaller teams when the German champion Nico Hulkenberg brought his driver to the checkered flag in sixth at Silverstone.

– Haas showed that you can take a significant step forward with the car’s new body and new floor, Bottas said.
