Here is how the news of her death was announced: Turkish esports team Unknown Pros announced on Twitter on February 09, 2023 that professional gamer Gizem “Luie” Harmankaya has passed away:
“Unfortunately we lost our player Gizem Harmankaya. We extend our condolences to her family and all her loved ones. Rest in peace Gizem.”
YouTuber Tolunay Ören tweeted on February 7th that he was having trouble reaching Gizem and had no information about her whereabouts. On the same day, the Unknown Pros Twitter account reported that Gizem Harmankaya had been found but was still under the rubble (via Twitter).
who was luie Gizem “Luie” Harmankaya was a Turkish Valorant esports athlete who hails from Kahramanmaraş. She played for the Vivace Vista, Galaktikos Sirens and Unknown Pros teams.
With Unknown Pros and Vivace Vista, she took part in the “Valorant Game Changers EMEA” in 2022, where she played against the teams from Oxygen Esports, Sangal Revels and UNtapped (via vlr.gg)
