Vahid suffered a stroke at the age of 22

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

When Vahid is only 22 years old, he wakes up one day with a severe headache. Shortly thereafter, he passes out and does not wake up again until almost two weeks later. He has had a stroke, a heavy bleeding in the head.

– We were in the hospital around the clock for almost two weeks – we were very worried and shocked, says Vahid’s brother Bayram.

Vahid survives but is paralyzed in half of his body. The journey back will be almost impossible and will take six years in rehab. But Vahid finds tremendous strength and motivation and makes the impossible possible. Today, he is a personal trainer and wants to motivate others who are struggling to get back on their feet.

– They said there was little chance that I would be able to walk again. I felt bad but then I got a hold of it and decided that I will show that it is possible to get well again.
