The vaccination against the coronavirus has entered a new phase in France. By announcing on November 25 that the maintenance of the health pass would be subject to a third booster dose in all adults, the Minister of Health Olivier Véran caused a new rebound in the number of doses administered daily, a figure which had fallen to the most low since the start of the school year.
For nearly a year, the government has made vaccination the priority health issue in the fight against the epidemic of coronavirus. France has managed to achieve a high level of vaccination in a few months and to achieve vaccination coverage among the highest in Europe and the world. However, this may not be enough to achieve total collective immunity, but it protects serious forms, offers protection to the most fragile and allows to desaturate hospital services.
The evolution of vaccination is closely followed by the health authorities, because it is considered as the only real bulwark to avoid a new epidemic outbreak.
