A man living in Germany has been vaccinated nearly 90 times against Covid-19 in order to sell his vaccination certificates to antivax.

    A real business…

A 61-year-old man of German origin has been vaccinated at least 87 times against Covid-19. His goal ? Resell full vaccination certificates to antivax.

By retracing, with difficulty, the vaccination course of this inhabitant of Magdeburg, the capital of the Land of Saxony-Anhalt, the health authorities noted that the man sometimes received up to three doses of vaccine per day. To keep it unnoticed, he went to different vaccination centers. He would have started his “small business” in July 2021. He would therefore have received nearly 90 doses of anti-Covid vaccines in the space of nine months.

At each appointment to receive an injection, the sexagenarian took care to carry his proof of identity, however omitting to present his health insurance card. In this way, he was not spotted by the health authorities. On the other hand, he gave each time a new blank vaccination card. Once complete, he sold it, without forgetting to delete his personal data.

    A non-digitized health system

It was an employee of a vaccination center located in Dresden, a federal state in eastern Germany, who recognized the fraudster and warned the other establishments. The man was arrested in the city of Leipzig, when he came to be administered yet another dose of serum.

If he managed to get vaccinated so many times, it’s because in Germany, health and medical data are not computerized. No national registry of vaccines for coronavirus or other diseases exists in a digital format.

What are the potential effects on the immune system?

According to Doctor Gérald Kierzek, emergency doctor and medical director of Doctissimo, “The effects of overstimulation of the immune system are not known.”. On the other hand, the “first risk is to trigger an over-reaction of the immune system as well as inflammatory reactions”. On the other hand, the immune defenses can reach a peak, a “tray”, which translates to a “saturation phenomenon”. What seems certain, however, is that “it is not because we are vaccinated 87 times that we are more protected”. On the contrary, the effects could be more “deleterious than beneficial”.
