Just use two products that we all have on hand to plunge your room or your child’s room into complete darkness.
When you’re on vacation, you imagine that you can sleep for hours at night without being woken up in any way. But sometimes, an unexpected detail can disturb your sleep or that of a child: the absence of shutters or blackout curtains in the bedroom. This type of situation usually happens in vacation rentals. The result: the first rays of daylight mercilessly shine through the windows, flooding the room with light from dawn. Not to mention the street lamps that sometimes diffuse a dazzling light until the early hours of the morning. So, if you’re not at home and you don’t have your little habits, here’s a tip that could be useful to you.
On the social network Instagram, a mother alias @tipsdemaman shared his tip that will save the nights of many parents on vacation, but also of adults in general. Because after all, it’s not just children who sleep in complete darkness. The technique in question consists of blocking out the light in a room that has no shutters or curtains. To do this, there’s no need to buy a blind without drilling, you only need two products.
In her video, the young mother shows in pictures that you need a roll of aluminum foil and a spray with water. Then, you just need to completely moisten the panes of your window on the inside and then place a sheet of aluminum foil on each pane so as to hide the entire pane. Thanks to this fairly simple installation, no more rays of light pass through your bedroom.
The advantage is that the aluminum sheets can easily be removed the next morning and reinstalled the same evening. So no need to waste a whole roll. In the caption of his publication, several Internet users tested his tip and validated it. “I tested it last week at the campsite and it saved the whole family’s nights! Top tip!!”, one of them comments. Another adds that one can also use survival blankets, which reflect light outwards.
