Vaasan Sport got its millionth debris Sport

Sport had a long -term debt of EUR 600,000. Among the creditors, for example, is a municipal association that owns the ice rink.

Thing in summary

Surprisingly, the Ice Hockey Club Vaasan Sport has reset its long -term debts of EUR 1.8 million. First told about the matter Ilta-Sanomat.

Sport’s CEO Jonne Kemppainen describes the situation as a tremendous advantage.

According to Kemppainen, debts have long been negotiated.

– This now provides a much better basis for the entire organization and the club, Kemppainen describes.

Long -term debts have consisted of debt from individuals and the halls of the municipal council. Sport debt has had almost € 600,000 for the Vaasanseudun Arena Association.

– When the hall was originally started to renovate and renew, we signed certain types of contracts in the background. Now we took them on the table and changed the structures. The ice rink walls are owned by the hall and no longer the belongings are ours, Kemppainen says.

According to Kemppainen, the investments made by the Sport in the past were transferred to the municipal council and the loans were acknowledged.

He adds that at the same time, the cost of Sport on an annual rate is significantly dropped.

“Of course, it has always been important for our negotiations that taxpayers do not have to pay our bills, and this model will not happen,” says Kemppainen.

A share issue directly to running costs

Vaasan Sport, who has wrestled in financial difficulties, has sought to obtain additional funding through, among other things, share issues. This generated EUR 1.02 million for Sport in 2023.

According to Kemppainen, it was used for running costs.

– When we came out in November with the financial banging, one fairway to be treated was precisely these long -term debts. Since then, we have been negotiating. Now we got a great outcome, Kemppainen says.

According to him, however, there is plenty to do, and new money and funding must be raised in the cashier.

– However, the soil is starting to be better and more sturdy than when this project went on. And of course, we also influence how the grip on the playing field goes and the result, which then determines the need for the final money.
