An external investigation is required after the police reports against regional police chief in Stockholm and deputy national police chief Mats Löfving, says the Left Party’s legal policy spokesperson Gudrun Nordborg. The party wants to see an independent review of the actions of the top police leadership, an investigation to be initiated by the Department of Justice.
– I mean that it must be an investigation by an outsider, an external investigation into the reports and suspicions that have come to light, says Gudrun Nordborg (V), legal policy spokesperson and member of the justice committee.
On Tuesday, the justice committee will decide if they should call the National Police Chief so that he can give an account of what has happened.
