Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Thomas Vaessens, is not surprised that these courses are appreciated by students. “However, we have noticed that these courses have been attracting few students for years; often far fewer than 25.” That is why the faculty wants to incorporate the content and expertise of these courses into other courses, or merge courses. “We want to permanently anchor this knowledge and expertise in our offering and attract more students to these fields,” says Vaessens.
