In the 18th century Oudegracht 201 was owned by a baker: Bartholomeus Buijs. It could therefore be that the haunted cellar was part of the bread bakery. Schaars: “The nice thing is that we have now found a flue. It connects to a missing fireplace in the basement of number 201, so maybe that was the place where the bread was baked.”
