Utrecht – Utrecht University withdraws a scientist’s doctorate. This is because “such culpable and large-scale negligence” was found in the 2008 dissertation. According to the university, the dissertation is therefore not good enough to enter the profession. It almost never happens that a doctorate, the highest degree that can be obtained at a university, is revoked.
