The holiday parks on the Utrechtse Heuvelrug were full this season, says Michiel van der Schaaf, director of the Regional Bureau for Tourism (RBT) Heuvelrug en Vallei. “The beautiful weather plays a role in this. This ensures that people come to the last weeks of the holiday.” The Utrecht hotels were also well occupied, says Sebastiaan Weijmans, spokesperson for Utrecht Marketing. “The summer holidays have gone well. Things are going better than last year, and things are still going well at the moment.”
