In the long term, the municipality wants to introduce a maximum speed of 50 kilometers per hour on the entire Biltse Rading. “The current design with two separate carriageways without interchange points does not fit in well with this. We will be making a design in the coming months. We realize that a credible design for 50 kilometers per hour requires major intervention and has consequences for the environment and the Veemarkt district in particular,” Van Hooijdonk said in a letter to the municipal council.
