When officers drove to the station in Utrecht Noord around 2:30 yesterday afternoon, they saw the suspect sitting on the balcony of a house. After the house was cordoned off, the officers rang the doorbell. The suspect’s brother then jumped off the balcony to distract the police. The suspect himself wanted to flee through a window at the front of the house, but was arrested there after some difficulty. He also tried to destroy the windows of the police car in order to flee, but that remained an attempt. He is then locked in.
